Coronavirus (Covid-19) UPDATE as of 5/07/2020

Over the last two months the Coronavirus has touched us all, from the loss of loved ones, economic hardships, as well as limited intereactions with family, friends and community.

The pandemic data is changing on a daily if not hourly basis, as new information and guidelines emerge.  Our office is utilizing the recommendations provided by the American Dental Association, The Massachusetts Dental Society and The Centers for Disease Control. We have spent a significant amount of time reviewing guidelines and implementing procedures for the safety and well-being of our patients and staff.  The result will be alterations that will significantly change the way a Dental Office functions.  All changes are to ensure that the patient and dental team are as safe as possible, while providing high quality dental care.

As we approach a re-opening date our philosophy is to exceed the standards set by The Center for Disease Control. The most recent recommendation for re-opening is May 18, 2020. This is the target date for which we plan to offer elective treatment.  We will continue to provide emergency treatment as defined by The American Dental Association.  We have a responsiblilty to address these conditions to limit emergency room visits during this time.  Should you require a consultation, please call our office at (508)756-0358 as you normally would.

As we approach this re-opening date please revisit the website www.TatnuckDental.com for updated information or call with questions.  We are carefully planning for every situation with your safety as the priority.

Stay healthy and practice social distancing. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely, Dr. Ostberg

MARCH 17, 2020

Dear Patients,

Our top priority is the health and well being of our patients, families, staff and
community. To that end, we have decided to close our practice for the next three weeks,
starting March 17, 2020, in accordance with guidance provided by the Massachusetts
Dental Society. We believe that this closure will allow us to more effectively adhere to
Governor Baker’s recommendations and the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC)
guidance of social separation.

As health care professionals, we believe we have a role to play in “flattening the curve”
in order to follow sound, scientific public health advice to help limit infections and to
slow the spread of the virus. Our office will be reviewing our appointment schedule. If
you have a non urgent appointment scheduled with us this week, our office will be in
touch to help reschedule your appointment.

There will be a doctor on call in the event of an emergency. Should you require
emergency dental care, please call our office as you normally would at 508 756 0358.
One of our doctors will get in touch with you.

We did not make this decision lightly. A great deal of care, research and planning
guided our decision. We believe that taking these extraordinary precautions, we can
make a difference in helping to preserve the limited supply of personal protective
equipment critical for emergency dental care and frontline health care personnel
responding to the pandemic. We will continue to evaluate the situation as it evolves and
determine when it is appropriate got us to return to our normal business hours.

Again, please understand that we are making this decision with the health and well
being of our patients, our families, our dental team, and the community in mind.

Please stay safe and healthy.
